Sarah Siegel is a UX Designer and Researcher who works with start-ups and established products to not only meet their users’ needs, but to delight and surpass them.
With over 10 years of experience in multiple service and technology education positions, from hospitality to non-profit and everywhere in between, Sarah believes that technology should be designed to make your life easier and strives for stress-free products.
Before pursuing UX Design, Sarah’s career centered around creating programs to introduce and educate various technologies to a variety of users, from early adopters to laggards, in companies such as Amazon and nonprofits such as After School Matters. She was part of the initial launch team for AmazonBooks, Amazon’s first foray into brick and mortar stores, where every day was an opportunity for guerilla testing for new and established products.
Sarah has a BA in Communication and Theatre Arts from the University of Miami.
Why Sarah Loves UX
Most of Sarah’s career revolved around introducing technology to users for the first time. She has seen first hand how unfriendly design can make people hesitant to use or outright refuse to use a product or service.
Sarah believes the fundamental purpose of technology is to make our lives easier and strives to design products that add to users’ quality of life without complicating it further.
